evolutionary biology

I study how species interactions drive evolutionary change in traits, particularly in signal traits that animals use to communicate with one another.  To do this, I pair experimental approaches on rubyspot damselflies with the development and application of phylogenetic methods for testing evolutionary hypotheses at comparative scales.
